After a shaky start we arrived one day and one hour late in San José.
One day in San José instead of two but now on our road-trip around south-west Costa Rica, down through the mountains then back along the Pacific coast if all goes well.
First morning to Turrialba for coffee and a bit of shopping then on to the Guyabo National monument, just about the only pre-Columbian site in the country.
Very mountainous roads which led us to a walk to a waterfall ...
... where a pair of red-headed vultures did a flyby and we saw lots of other birds we couldn't identify and no snakes! It's a tropical paradise.
