A Christmas visitor

We've had a few of these in the garden, but a big group on Christmas Day - not a robin, not any traditional Christmas bird, but lovely.  Back again today.  Not in my guide to birds of Europe but found it eventually on the internet.

  1. What a lovely surprise! What was it in the end? Hope you have had a good Christmas, and sorry we never sent a card: your address is somewhere!! Very quiet Christmas here, as no family at all at the last minute, so a mega turkey had to be 'dealt with', & Ana & Sara had to find substitutes (bbq breakfast for Sara & Co, and party food for lunch!). Ana collected some cooked turkey from her mother-in-law's doorstep, and Ros & Stef's English turkey got stuck in the lorry queue at Dover, so ended up having the last duck in Delhaize! (well, only veg for Ros!). All tinged with sadness, as we had to put our last horse Harry to sleep 2 weeks ago. Despite all our (& the vet's) efforts, he was just fading away poor boy. So it is very, very strange around here at the moment.
Here's to a happier and healthier 2021 for all. With love from us Kilbys
