Work starts

Today the diggers arrived to start the terracing and foundations.  It's been a week of signing contracts and writing cheques.  C'est la vie!

The Starting Point

Chris retired on 31st July, the house was let from 1st September and we had plans to build a house in France.  The "permis de construire" arrived on 21st August, so time to go travelling!

We'll record the house build and our world trip as we go.

Had a great time visiting old friends the first week of September, then came to house and horse sit for Nicky and Glyn the next week.

Back to Exeter for half a day's work, then to Plymouth for my leaving do and my last PhD student's viva.

Leaving for France on 20th Sept, no ticket back yet.

25 Oct to Australia to visit Donna,
13 Nov to Auckland to work for a week, then in NZ for another 3 weeks,
13 Dec to Bangkok for 3 nights,
16 Dec to Phnom Phen and then on to Siem Reip to find Judy's sister.
Ticket booked back to UK on 13th April.
